Those two patents look so simple to be losing more than a million to. Maybe I'm misreading this but I swear a lot of games use features like that.

Usually I would be in favor of Capcom over Koei Tecmo, as I am a fan of Sengoku Basara and despise the Musou series, but this patent infringement looks ridiculous. Maybe I'm missing something but these two "patents" look like stuff I've seen in hundreds of games over the course of my life.

Don't, like, a lot of games have features like that?

I don't think you should be able to patent generic game features like that in the first place.

Yeah, games were doing this for a long time. Rock Band and its sequels come to mind.
