It can't be helped since the franchise is 40 years old and some of the cast has passed but still...

This may all seem somewhat obvious, but the big controversy here is the implication Nozomu Sasaki is no longer playing Hathaway - he's voiced him since Char's Counterattack, and his Hathaway's Flash version in video games and such since SD Gundam G Generation F in 2000.
I guess they're bracing people ahead of the cast reveal at the event next week. Nozomu Sasaki himself put out a joking tweet (near as I can tell) about not playing him in the anime after this. |

Well, it deals with the aftermath of the Char's Counterattack novelization, which ended in a different way for Hathaway. It will be interesting to see how they deal with all that... |

The cast change is understandable, but I do not understand why they need to update MS designs.
