Maybe Shonen Jump wouldn't have these problems if they hired women on their staff? animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2019-11-08/shueisha-says-female-jump-editors-need-to-understand-the-hearts-of-boys/.152995

I mean, if you're so butthurt about people wanting to still enjoy the RK franchise...

The post you're replying to literally says people are free to like it or enjoy it, but what many of us question is the insistence of the fans to shut down any discussion about Watsuki's crimes and the general disatisfaction with the meaningless punishment he received. Especially when he showed no remorse when admitting to being sexually attracted to pre-pubescent children. And there's of course the fact that a lot of people -myself included- find it rather questionable that people are so willing to continue financially supporting a man that repeatedly used the money he made from RK to pay for the sexual exploitation of children. And honestly, as far as we know, he may as well still be doing it, seeing how little it cost him when he was caught the first time. I don't think people who continue to buy his works have truly understood or come to terms with the idea that the money they spent on their RK manga, anime, merchandise or whatever indirectly ended up supporting the Child Pornography industry

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't want anything to change. Creators should be free to make whatever type of series they want with whatever type of content in it they want. Obviously it's working for Oda given he writes the best selling and most popular comic in the world. Besides, female writers write that stuff all the time too. I was just pointing out given all the stuff you can find in One Piece, Oda probably is not the type to clutch his pearls. He did create Momonosuke after all, who's entire joke is using his child status to molest women without consequence.

The people who feel the need to keep bashing Watsuki about something that's already been dealt with by the Japanese authorities are nothing but trolls who enjoy causing drama. It's in the past and it's been dealt with. Get. Over. It!

Would you tell that to the children who were sexually abused with Watsuki's money?
