This was more satisfying than I expected, although I don't recall them ever explaining why exactly Akane was in jail, nor what happened between Arata's dad and Kei's brother. I just don't get why they made it a "movie" when it could have aired as episodes 9, 10 and 11 of season 3. Production delays, maybe?

I would hope that a potential sequel would explain why Akane was jailed too. It seemed that she was being detained for actions she took that required a trial, but one that was indefinitely delayed because such a trial would somehow require the true nature of the Sibyl System to be publicized. Not sure exactly what sort of action would lead to that, or how much the public knows or cares about her being brought to justice. But the way things are going, I wonder if the next main work will lead to at least a serious consideration for revealing what the Sibyl System is, or if Akane will continue to take a backseat to the plot.
