A return of both manga and anime. What more could I ask for?

Well there's a blast from the past. My ex was all into that back in 2010 Laughing

Wonder if they'll give it a normal dub this time around, since people are kinda against white actors using heavily stereotypical ethic accents these days and that was pretty much all the older series' dubs did.

Didn’t know Hetalia was still around lol. But I’m glad it still seems to be successful.

I lost touch with hetalia since 2014. Maybe I'll watch the new season.

They better not. That what made the dub so fun, plus not every actor in the dub is white.

I don't mind the accents*, but the dub rewrote so much of the dialogue and added new jokes that it became unwatchable to me. I hope they don't do that again, should this get a dub.

* That said, if they want to do accents, they could at least get them right. The accent for Finland was nothing like how Finnish people speak English.

lol seriously?

speaking as somebody who was in the hetalia fandom circa 2007-2009 (back when people on livejournal were translating the web comics and struggling with himaruya's notoriously difficult handwriting)... it's had a pretty long shelf life, hasn't it? Laughing

Even more than "Pasta!" I think of Italy's signature line as the "Pata, pata, pata!" as he frantically waves his flag in surrender, so I can't get over the fact that his seiyuu Daisuke Namikawa is also the voice of Hunter x Hunter's Hisoka, Ace of Diamond's Chris, who is so soft-spoken and aloof he barely registers on the soundtrack, and of course Lupin III's phlegmatic Goemon.
