Username change

Hello I hope you're all doing well,

In the past I've asked a question about subscriptions once. This topic: animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3076460

However at this point in time I would like to change my username. The settings still allow me to do so, but it does warn me about 'switcharoos'.

So my question is; Would it still be allowed and acceptable to change my username?
