Weird to see Funimation involve with this Project
Sony already have aniplex now they gonna let Funimation in production of anime too?

^Funimation's been on the production committee for several anime over the last few years. First that comes to mind is Fire Force, but there have been a few others IIRC.

The first one I recall them being on is Dimension W, freaking loved that show

Manga's being used to promote an anime. Usually it's the other way around.

That's usually how it works with originals, they get a (typically short) manga that comes out before the anime in order to give people a taste of the plot and get them interested in watching it. This is probably more important/common for original movies since they need to convince people to go and buy a ticket.
