Reminds somewhat of You're Under Arrest! by Kousuke Fujishima.

I was also gonna make a connection to You're Under Arrest, though I don't know much about either other than the fact that they both have a policewoman duo

This seems like a more low-key version of You're Under Arrest, but I think it could be pretty cute.

Usually they focus on detectives and less on the rank-and-file police officers in anime.

This has more of a "Kochira Katsushikaku Kameari Kouenmae Hashutsujo" vibe than You're under arrest. at lease for me it does.

I remember trying to read this, but the art was so awkward* it was too much of a chore. Usually in such cases I fare better with the anime, but... is it just me, or are the visuals in this teaser weird? It looks like it timeslipped here from the early '00s. The character design is retro, and there's also a vague uncanny valley thing going on sometimes. It's all weirdly off-putting, but I can't really put my finger on why.

*I'm sure the mangaka has improved since then, but in the first volumes it's like the they can only draw faces and not much else... and even the faces are so-so.

Reminds me of Rail Wars, which I sincerely hope this show is not.

Police in a Pod seems to be a much needed update from You’re Under Arrest. Those women wore skirts out on the field. Which made no sense given they were running around a whole lot.

A police girls show in this day and age... I'll definitely give it a chance, even though I'm less than impressed with the character designs.

You're Under Arrest was my first thought as well. Could be worth checking out, though I wouldn't be surprised if the animation isn't exactly great given the PV

Ooh I saw this as live action drama somewhere, reminds me a lot of You're Under Arrest as well. Didn't realise it a manga adaptation.

dLibrary Japan is streaming the live-action version in the US and Canada (not subtitled).

Well, skirts seem like the go-to for depiction of Japanese policewomen although I guess this is being more realistic by having them wear pants (I'm not sure what the exact dress code for female officers is in Japan).

According to Japanese wikipedia, both skirts and trousers are available to female officers. The pages don't cite any sources so need independent verification on that though...;

Do note Kousuke Fujishima's You're Under Arrest! manga started in 1987 while trousers first began to be distributed to female officers in 1994.

Looking forward to this series! Also, this reminds me that we never got a Shinmai Fukei Kiruko-san anime.
