I don't want to be that guy, but the trailer looks worse than season 1. Production IG isn't going to do a good job.

Animation Production: Kinema Citrus Just the Character designer (one of two) comes from Production IG. The most important think is that art director is still Osamu Masuyama - an absolute genius who did backgrounds for best Ghibli movies before. I know nothing about Teru Sekiguchi who will be 2nd art Director and it worries me a little. |

This looks to be more a of a Origin Story, My Guess 6-7 episodes will be devoted as a prequal and the rest will feature the original cast.
I still have not seen the third Movie, thanks to the pandemic, but i own so i will have to watch before this upcoming season comes out. The original was such a sleeper hit, I don't know how Amazon Strike was able to secure so many great anime's in short amount of time it was around. I still occasionally listen to the original soundtrack. I wish Sentai had included the soundtrack in the original Boxset. I missed the special Vinyl Release Kevin did and now the disc sell for hundreds. |

.....the 3rd movie ends on chapter 24-ish. This teaser video show's events from the side story covered by chapters 47-48 thru 51. So unless this season leaves out chapters 25 thru 46...really doubtful they'll use six or seven episodes to adapt four chapters + a into (ch 47 is the intro to this flashback). |

The 3rd movie doesn't end around chapter 24 it ends around chapter 38. |

What do you mean? The first season was released on Blu-ray by Sentai three years ago, but was it something else you meant? |
