This was a pleasant surprise! I hear the show did very well streaming in China, so I wonder if that helped.

Can't wait to see more of this Shojo-esque Isekai and more of Sei and Hawke's romance!

Good. This show can really use a second season.

Does spoiler[romance] start to dominate the story? Could not make it past ep.3 but I am willing to give it another try.

There is certainly a romantic element.

I will be happy to watch another season.

This is wonderful news. A beautiful story with great characters. I have become a fan of the Light Novels as well. Never expected a second season.

According to data released by Kadokawa, the series is one of their top revenues in 2021. So it’s no surprise it got more anime.

More mildly threatening magical scenario's to punctuate a slow romantic slice of lifer? Sure why not.

This is kind of really weird news to me, a friend and I were talking about it last night as I had told him I picked up the LN's because I was wanting more of it and he asked me if there would be a chance for an s2. I didn't know to be honest I never really tracked reactions to it online. Then sure enough this gets announced less than 24 hours after us talking.

Season 2 - Sign me up...

By the end of the season they might even get around to kissing...

Super slow-burn romance slice of life with minor OP magic shenanigans thrown in.

What's not to like...

I don't know. Considering how many great isekai stories have had mediocre animated versions recently, I was coming here to ask if it was any good. Did they follow the story and pacing, or try to cram a whole book into the first episode or two, to get on to the other bits? Was the animation good? The voices?

I really enjoy the manga version, and missed that it was getting an anime. I'm tempted to go watch it, but also nervous.

@Xavon

They did a good job with the first season, something I think is reflected in the comments above. In this case the whole thing is available on Crunchyroll at the cost of a few clicks. Just go and watch the first few episodes and make up your own mind. Rolling Eyes

Since you enjoy the manga version you really should check out the novel version. This provides a lot of additional information that cannot be found it either the manga or anime version. It is really the best version.

I wasn't expecting there to be a s2 but this was one of my favorite underrated shows of last year. I'm very happy with this sudden trend of modern shojo isekai. And Bookworm s3 is next month.
