I guess this is a kind of alternate re-telling and prequel hybrid? I did a search for a thread for the '98 series, but see there was never one made, or maybe it got lost in ether of the old Anime forum. I will go and rectify that, immediately.

Aside from the 3DCG design, I feel as long as the storytelling, characterizations, and overall emotional tone are even an inkling of Madhouse's, this has the potential to be a fun and occasionally dramatic roller coaster of a series.

Episode 01: Noman's Land

3DCG design takes getting used to, but the animation is pretty sleek at parts. It's also very close in tone to the '98 series with its up-and-down serious, yet goofy, nature.
