The idea of Taiyo building a fanbase among young spies is an angle I didn't really expect from this series but welcome. I'm a sucker for stories where the hero gets recognized by their peers for their skills so I'm really loving this aspect. Also get a kick out of the idea of spy magazines spying on spies to spill the beans on their personal lives. I hope we meet a writer for one of these magazines eventually.

It's always nice to hear Romi Park play a role different from her usual typecast. And more evidence that Mutsumi can create simps of any gender whose greatest weakness is her threatening not to talk to them if they keep roughousing and hurting her husband.
Ah, the old "secret spy base under a normal business." Can't have a spy show without one!
Taiyo is surprisingly convincing as a girl. Especially with those legs. Kengo would be proud.
Start off with business as usual and typical Yozakura family goofiness only to surprise you with serious plot at the very end.

Oh, a badass, tough as nails lady with an eyepatch and surprising soft side? Someone let Jacki know!
I didn't forget about his family dying in that car accident simply because I keep reminding myself how he got the scar. I'm sure what's his face is going to say it was the Yozakura family that completed a hit that was placed on them for *reasons* and it'll turn out they were framed by another organization.

Not that I believed he was dead for a second, but "blood spray pellets" don't exactly explain how he survived getting shot in the head. I was expecting a fun reveal and they just kind of ignored it :/
Besides ruffling through paperwork, I wonder if they found him out because he was doing things like not exactly being very well hidden under that gurney

They did a good job adapting the Kurogao storyline and seeing how far Taiyo has come that he can take down such an experienced and deadly spy, especially one who was basically a kindred spirit, was great. As was him returning home to his wife and in-laws embracing him.
Also, surprise Hina Yomiya as Yuri?

Based on Ayaka's past flashback from her first appearing, I think slightly won't be word I use, it's more like adjusted, as she's still trying to stab the guy who stole her heart to literally cut his out, imagine if the cheating was real

Nice Futaba segment. It's not just the typical "tough girl is still afraid of ghosts," it ends up being a big sister still grappling with the loss of her mother and realizing there is only so much her strength can do while also letting her sisters dote on her for both their sakes. And it helped her connect more with Taiyo.
You'd think a spy license would've come up by now...
I love Mutsumi being Taiyo's supportive wife in the stands and also making it clear she won't have another dude steal her hubby.
Jun Fukuyama has been busy this season! Him as a bisexual spy is...so Fukuyama.
The little old dude being one of the test proctors just killed me.

You know, I'm very confused by the green haired brother's (can't be bothered to look up the name) character. One minute he's doing solo mission, the next he's hiding in his garbage can with crippling fear of people, and then he's out shopping literally like a normal person in normal clothes. Is he an introvert? Is he a shut in? Does he fear success? He's the character I want a solo backstory for the most, surely this isn't just the writer being inconsistent is it?

Shinzo is indeed very shy, but he's fine as long as he's armed...

I really like what we see of Taiyo's mom. She had that teasing wife/mom vibe tdown to pat. Actually she kind of reminds me of Mutsumi, come to think of it.
Mutsumi in strong wife mode feeling responsible enough for Taiyo's parents death that it's grounds for divorce for his sake...but Taiyo lives for her now. Not to mention them living it up as grandpa and grandma who actually are young.
Main villains finally show themselves!
