So does this mean we'll see sola, true tears, shigofumi, and SRW from Bandai Ent?

Gets his preorder finger ready..........

I never expected BV to be consolidated, that's for sure. What does this mean for Broccoli, though? Will they still be involved on the dvds? And will Bandai Entertainment take over the price-setting function of BVUSA?

It was only a matter of time before Bandai Visual was gone anyway. Seriously, did anyone honestly expect these guys to last? No offense to the buyers who actually bought BV titles.

Seriously, BV's days were numbered and now the days are up.

I wonder if this is one of the big events Bandai Entertainment was hyping up in the AnimeOnDVD forums with their comment codes in their website. Now let's see if the unreleased BV USA titles like sola gets a bilingual release at a reasonable price.

This is no surprise. Who wants to pay $49.99 dollars for 2 episodes per disc?

Good riddance Bandai Visual. Hopefully Bandai Ent will release Sola in a boxset collection or something. That would totally rock my socks.

Well, I'm glad that I picked Gunbuster and Diebuster up a couple minutes ago -- that is, assuming that BEI doesn't decided to mark down prices on BVUSA's remaining stock of the two titles.

I would be surprised if it was, at least all of it... this is clearly a corporate event, and whatever is going on at BEI's website seems very much like a fan thing. Just IMHO, obviously.

I'd still wait on Gunbuster, in hopes that we'll get it in all its musical glory.

I don't think Lucky Star will be affected consdering it is a Bandai Ent. title.

I wouldn't break out the champagne on that issue right now, GATSU.

They didn't consolidate. BV-USA was liquidated (or is in the process of) to Bandai Entertainment. BE still had to pay them money but probably nothing near what they would have to get these titles otherwise. And since they'll own the rights themselves I would assume they'll use their own price models.

Bandai Entertainment, if they didn't break the bank, is sitting really pretty now. And to think I was suprised they didn't beat Geneon USA into the hole. It's amazing how much things can change in a few months.

Odds are Bandai Ent will aid in paying off BVs outstanding debits.......

This might be that big countdown Bandai (we might as well drop the Ent now that there is ONLY ONE) had going..........

Doubtful. If they had anything outstanding it still looked like they have some capital.
