I won't be getting any of the box sets since I already have most of those series. As for the novelletes, I'm too old for them now but I remember reading the Pokemon ones. Smile

Aren't the hardcover versions already released? I've seen hardcover versions for volume ones of Bleach, Naruto, and Death Note at my local bookstores since about two months ago.

If the box looks good enough, I'll pick up the Death Note one. I have vol. 5, but it got damaged with water, so I have to re-buy it anyways.

Yes, they've already been released, but the article says that these new ones will include new cover illustrations.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity to finally buy Death Note.

Correction:

Shueisha is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Jump this year. Weekly Shonen Magazine and Shonen Sunday are the ones with the 50th anniversary.

How could they possibly make Naruto even more for kids? They add more smoke to cover up naked people, change middle fingers into fists. I dread to see what they're going to do for the babies version.

And once again, no major plans for One Piece. Guess One Piece just isn't popular enough to focus on. Sad

I sure hope that those new interviews are more serious then the stuff they've done in the past.

I really stopped expecting anything since last year.

I believe hard covers were only available to Borders or something like that for select titles. Mass release to everyone else should follow. Kind of like how the Bleach Season 1 DVD box was exclusive to Walmart for a while.

Dang, so "How to Read" really is a 13th book in the cycle ... the descriptions & summaries all made it out to be an artbook/recap with no redeeming value. Oh well, 5 months 29 days.

It's the equivalent of a databook that any other shonen series gets.

Yeah, it and Hunter X Hunter unfortunately...... Sad

Oh well, no matter. With the exception of Shaman King, Dragonball (which I have absolutely none of either), Bleach (1-8 of that) and Death Note (just volume 12) all of my favorite Jump titles I already have all but 10 or 11 volumes of, all but 5 of some of the shorer ones (D.Gray-Man, Claymore), so unless I can figure out what to do with the ones I already have, the only box sets I really need are both the Dragonball ones and maybe the Death Note one. Although those sets really would help in me collecting the rest of the other series quite a bit though......

And the anniversary sounds like it'll be pretty interesting too, that'll be something to look forward to.
