Gurren Lagann doesn't work as a manga because it needs to be colorful, loud and in motion. I would prefer an animated spinoff series.

Have you seen the official GL manga? It actually works really well in my opinion.

The Angelic Days of Gurren Laggan, huh? I love Gurren Lagann, and this sounds so awesome! I would love to see how the characters would interact in a realistic school world. I hope the manga gets liscensed in America.... that would be awesome. Very Happy

I can't wait to see that new Higurashi manga!

I love Yuna's work and Higurashi, so I hope the end result will be just as good as each respective series.

Exactly what I thought.

As much as I want more TTGL though, I'm cautious about this. NGE Angelic Days isn't exactly a shining example of quality manga from what I understand, and with TTGL, this will be an even bigger plot shift than what Angelic Days was for NGE.

Having said that, TTGL might be better suited to the Alternate Reality School Comedy genre, since the show had a far larger comedy element than NGE, and a lot of it is parody anyway.

Hoping for the best, preparing for the...not so great.

Add: Whatever happens, though, the fact that this is Gainax's second major franchise to get this treatment is hilarious by itself Razz

As long as Kamina is a good hearted "Do anything" Banchao, I think the Spiraling Days of Gurren Lagann will be fine.

I would definitely check out the GL high school one, seems like it might be funny. I wonder if there will be mini models of the robots, maybe simon will be a collector !
