I was expecting this, since the ending to Kite Liberator was a HORRIBLE cliff hanger

Agree, it was such a bad cliff hanger. Mad

Good. This is badly needed.

Cool. I hope they do the same near-simultaneous release DVD's like they did with the first Kite Liberator. Man, I love the anime industry...all my favorite shows are getting simultaneous release. I haven't downloaded any fansubs since January.

Actually, I really liked the ending. But I love open-ended endings. It's a very Japanese sort of story technique, isn't it?

Edit: I also have a question...is there any connection with the Japanese company Media Factory, and the American one Media Blasters? I believe Media Factory on a certain torrent sites "No torrents of their shows posted, on request" list of a certain anime piracy site (I shall not mention), so it would make sense if they have close ties with Media Blasters...trying to do quick R1 releases, cutting out fansub piracy and all.

Well, who else would write it but him?

Well, that's a surprise. Haven't seen 'Liberator', would I want to? Oh well, at least he's kept busy. That means more stuffing giant loaves into mannequin-esque meat pies to animate. As he sits there innocently telling you about how he came up with it.

I take it he'll be writing this as a non-hentai as well, which is what he had wanted all along.

Yeah, Kite Liberator had no sex scenes.

And I suppose that spoiler[girl all tied up on the bed implied absolutely nothing or that 10 year old girl being dragged screaming into a bathroom stall by an adult male].... Rolling Eyes

I agree. It needed a resolution after that cliffhanger.

Still not a "sex scene" per se.

All the space station/monster stuff really dragged Liberator down for me. Kite just needs to be a ton of mindlessly cool action scenes with some great character moments and leave the sci-fi aspects out of it. Those even dragged down the Mezzo TV series for me (which is something I still never bothered to finish watching).

Yeah that first one was random and a little disturbing. But those weren't sex scenes...Rolling Eyes

I'm kind of disappointed that Umetsu would pull that Kill Bill crap [I.E. selling it twice] on fans who bothered defending the original OVA. It's a shame a guy like him with real potential's wasted it all these years.
