I'm a little surprised to see Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge (The Wallflower) is up to volume 22! I dropped it at about vol. 10-11 (can't recall) in its US release because I felt it was getting way too repetetive. I had no idea it went on that long-- I'm glad I quit when I did.

That's a great series to read. If only I were in a better location where they would have the releases available more in Japanese.

One Piece is way more popular in every where else other than US as far as I know.

Funimation is taking baby steps in that department with the anime release. It will eventually happen here too, I wager.

Nice to see a Tsukasa Hojo series in the top 5. His other franchises are seriously underrated in America. Heck, I can only find a copy of vol. 4 of Cat's Eye in the bookstores I went to.

Every Friday, I read Shonen Jump and each week One Piece is always a interesting read. However, I enjoy the Viz Media translation of Bleach, so I've been collecting the manga since volume 10. Could take a while to reach where the current Japanese translation is, but not as long as Case Closed.

As much as I enjoy Case Closed, completeing a series like via Viz Media could take ten to twenty years.

In that case, you may want to get the french version made by Kana, which is up to 58 volumes as of now (which is close to the current japanese total of 62 volumes).

On the other hand, Québec (where I live) and France are much closer to the current japanese volume. For me, it's only a matter of systematically buying each volume among those that were already released! Anime catgrin

Tough luck for you guys, though. It must suck having a pack of weasels (*cough*Viz*cough*) as a manga publisher. Sad

If only Viz would release multiple volumes of One Piece to help catch up, like they've been doing with Naruto.
