So it's going to be a 13 episode OVA? TV series?
At any rate it should be interesting. There's so much more to the novels than what the first OVA showed, as classic as that version is. |

The only thing that I'm going to be sad is that Kaneto Shiozawa won't return to do his role as Iason.
It's funny: I'm a man and I actually love the OVAs (and I might buy the books at a later date). |

This just made my day. Hopefully this will get a US company to actually license the first one over here. It may be old and gray now but it is still a classic and a damn good one at that.
I really like the new character designs. It makes Riki look a little cooler than in the original.

I keep telling myself not to watch this because of thespoiler[ ending being so depressing.] But I know I'm gonna end up watching it anyway.
I have this silly little hope that they mightspoiler[ make the ending even just a bit happier..even if its just a bit. I'm not saying they have to live, just something to make it seem less sad. ] I will most likely watch anyway.

OMG, I'm so excited about this. AnK is my favorite yaoi ever, and is the one yaoi I always recommend to people. The fact that they're making it longer makes me incredibly happy.
I just have one problem--does Iason look like a zombie to anyone else? Because he definitely looks like a zombie in that photo.... |

Sexellent!
I liked the old design - all the Blondies had a really haughty look. Iason looks a little odd in the promo pic, but Riki looks good. *grumbles about all the young whippersnappers that will be getting digisubs of this as opposed to having to get endlessly copied VHS tapes of the original* |

Yeah, I remember it was a good show but the quality the copy I had was so bad it really hindered the experience. I'm REALLY surprised that they're doing this... I never read the novels but I'm guessing there is enough material in there to make a 13 episode series? |

Woah, didn't see that one coming. Hopefully this time around they'll bother to explain a bit of the back story so folks new to AnK aren't lost, as they failed to do in the OVAs made in the 90s.

This is one of the best BL anime out there (plot? in BL? holy crap!) so I'm surprised and excited that there's going to be more after all these years. Next fall can't come soon enough!
