Um, how can Konami say that when the courts have already decided?

Because they don't speak English well enough to understand that their bid for dominance is over.

How else can one explain such gems as "Fushioh Richie", "Trap Dustshoot" and "Buster Rancher"? (For Pharaonic Guardian, Konami got to call all the shots. Look what it got us.)

Being an old fart, I'd rather they stick with video games where they belong!

Regardless upper deck still holds the distribution license weather Konami likes it or not. You can't just back out of a deal like you made prier.

Oy vey...all I can say is that the players aren't loving this. They're fearing that the release of the next booster set will be delayed. Not good, not good at all.

J-Head: I'm guessing Konami thinks they can control distribution since they own the property. Apparently, they're thinking, "Screw the courts, we own the game!"

Studio Toledo: Following your feelings on the subject, should Nintendo stay out of the Pokemon TCG? That's still going, right? If Konami wants to take over North American distribution of their own game, fine, but trying to force it on Upperdeck while their contract is still active wasn't a good idea. Better communication could've helped, and cooler heads could've prevented any perceived pettiness.

Here's hoping communication between the two companies improves--i.e. no name-calling or petty acts--and that they'll be able to satisfy the customers by releasing product on schedule, but that would prove that I am naive beyond human levels.

Konami, give it up. This is ridiculous. You're better than that.

Nintendo and Pokemon USA actually took the Pokemon TCG in-house and out of the hands of Wizards of the Coast around 7 years ago.

It seems like Konami is pulling the same brand of shenanigans Nintendo did when they pulled the Pokemon card game and show from Wizards and 4Kids, respectively.

I'd be rather funny if Konami tries to take the Yu-Gi-Oh anime in house next.

Hell the whole company could start carving avenues into other multimedia endeavors out of this alone. I feel it'll happen eventually.
