I have to admit, the worldwide distribution of The Girl who leapt through Time has been very promising. Over here it hit shelves in copious quantities as if it was a Ghibli film, and for Madman to give it a cinematic release is impressive as well. Perhaps this bodes well for other feature films recently made.

Well, the film was excellent and enjoyed by all ages. Compare it to other films that Madman have released on the anime side, i.e appleseeds, brave story, vexille... origin (that gonzo feature... my brain is failing me)...
You get the picture i'm sure. And movies and singles sell much better in general retail instead of the disc series. So it makes sense to get it out.
