In instances like this, knowledge is not power.
And...
Manga cow for the win!

I keep getting Genshiken vibes from this... That's such a good thing...
Kevin needs his own spin off. Or a training montage.

That was just ... adorable
I don't know what rock I've been living under, but until last week's all this time I thought Kevin and Nina were married (or at least a couple).

I don't understand...are we supposed to believe that your average hottie WOULDN'T be massively impressed by an obsessive knowledge about the minutia of manga??? Inconceivable.

For me, it's usually the other way around. I end up getting pestered by complete strangers at the B&M stores, asking me if [insert title] is any good. I don't even work at them and yet, many of them come to me.
I'm beginning to wonder if the employees (who do know me pretty well) are directing all of them to me.

Good comic, Kevin started well, but it all went down the sewer at the end with that hot little number...

Would Hindu deities take a manga COW as a sacrifice?...

from what i've seen, you just start raep and the women will obey you...
i DON'T think that plan would work.... |
Well, not all hentai involve rape and/or tentacles you know...

I keep getting mistaken for somebody else's friend at B&N. Kinda scary, when I think about it.
Everytime I come across a herd of manga cow, I always curse myself for forgetting to wear cleats.

Oh gawd that killed me. Not trying to sound mean, but this reminds me of those days when I first started attending anime clubs back in the 80's. Girl walks in 50 year old guy walks up ask you about anime. Then when you decide to tell what you know you get a long winded explanation.
Sorry Kevin but non-anime girls are off limits.

LOL poor Kevin. Not exactly the best way to pick up a non-otaku girl.I loved the girl's reaction though.

Kevin, Kevin, Kevin...if you're going to date outside the fandom, don't whip out your knowledge of anime and manga right away!
I've never seen a manga cow at any bookstore I've gone to, but if I did find one sleeping in the aisle, I'd probably kick them out of the way. Steel-toe boots oughta wake 'em up.
No matter how geeky he (Or any otaku) is, or if he were a comic book fanboy, Trekkie, Star Wars fanboy, or into high fantasy or other sci-fi, he's at least less nerdy than furries.

No, just 90%. The other 10% involve childhood friends who have always secretly loved you, so that still doesn't help much.
Unless you're talking H-manga, in which case I have actually seen one that is based around a normal guy picking up a girl courtesy of a how-to book... written specifically for him by his little sister. "The dessert goes into another stomach!"
