Hooray! Sketchbook is my favourite slice-of-life anime ever. I'd love to see it get licensed and even dubbed eventually, so getting it on Crunchyroll is a good start.

I'll check this one out as well. Ya know, with CR and other sources of streamed titles out there and my own hefty backlog of unwatched anime on DVD, I can officially make my favourite complaint: there's just too much good friggin' stuff out there that I want to see!

I have to admit, I watched this show back when I still watched fansubs. Thinking back, it was actually the last show I ever watched via fansubs. I'll probably watch it all over again on CR.

I'd like to think this means a greater chance of an R1 DVD release, but I can't be sure about that. Or the vague possibility of a 2nd season, since CR does seem to get old shows right before a new season is to air a lot.

Since you and I have pretty similar tastes, I say you'll like it. I yawned several times watching this show, but they were good yawns. They were the kind of yawns you expect/want when you watch a slice of life. It's that damn fun and that damn relaxing.

I just wish I didn't hate CR's player or else I'd watch this again. Between the videos not fully loading, the countless times I've had streams close on me, or my favorite 'stream not currently available' message, I've been really pushed to the edge of going to fansubs of some shows. Why would you not let videos load all the way?

Does this mean that we'll never see Sketchbook DVDs now? I mean, CR doesn't do DVDs, so if they have the full license, no one else can do DVDs either.

An interesting thought. I might try Sketchbook out. Now if Sora no Manimani was streamed I'd be happy because the fansubs are slow.

Obviously CR only has the license to online streaming.

Which at first made me think of Funimation's insistence that "We only license shows if we can get the online rights to it," but then Funimation is releasing Strike Witches which is a CR show so...I don't think this CR licensing would interfere in any way with a future and potential R1 DVD licensing for Sketchbook.

Maybe someday CrunchyRoll will get the rights to DVD distribution and not just online distribution.

Ya, me too. I really want Sketchbook (and anime like it) on DVD. CR I don't care about because I can't watch them anyway.

Thanks for the reassurance Einhorn. I hope Funimation or Nozomi or Media Blasters picks this up.

Wow, nice! I never saw the end of this series, and I did enjoy it! Congrats to CR for an older series, but a good one!
