Dang ... I wish they'd do a wider spread release - like w/ the Eureka 7 movie :/

Or just hurry up and release DVD/Blu-ray!

20 bucks says this LA premier is the dub premier.

Meaning Otakon's chances of having the dub are looking even stronger. Very Happy

I doubt it.

The screening fits nicely between the one in San Fran and the run in Hawaii... This is all a way to maximize the profit from the single subtitled film roll that exists.

Shipping it over to the East Coast won't happen until the run is finished in Hawaii... Although that might be possible.

I think it's entirely possible. Otakon tries to do as many 'blow out' things as they can, if they got Disappearance's dub on TOP of all the other big things they have ATM, that would be a HUGE deal. They were the premier for the Evangelion movie last year, right?

Of course, it also depends on what guests they have... maybe.

Nope, it wont be dubbed. The press release says it'll be the subtitled version.

Oh, never mind, then I'm not interested. Also, what is the point of having the English cast there signing autographs then?

Ugh, if I had money I would so be there... Any chance of a Texas run, then? Even if it's in Houston, I'd find someway to get out there.

Can't wait to get my hands on a DVD.

Increase interest in/advertise for the dub, I guess.

I could understand them being there if the movie wasn't playing, but since it is, it's like an extra slap in the face for the people that wanted to see the dub.
I mean it's like saying the dub is close but yet so far.

Those are done through a digital print which is then sent around via harddrive and satellite.
