Woo! Glad to hear it's official now. I really enjoyed the first half of Index (up until Angel Fall), so hopefully this second season is at least as good.

I can hope it'll be as good as the first, but that still means mediocre and meandering halfway through.

And once that is done, there'll be confirmation for Railgun season 2, right? Surprised

I really, REALLY hope the second season doesn't get ridiculously bogged down with its techno-babble.

Woohoo!!!! Fantastic news! The only news which would be better with regards to Index would be if it were licensed, but hope springs eternal.

In any case, this is absolutely great news. This is one of the shows that I've most been looking forward to more of. In fact, I think that the only show that I'm more interested in seeing more of is Full Metal Panic. This is fantastic.

Yes! I have been waiting for this. I almost got worried once "Railgun" ended and there has been no word about upcoming projects for this series.

Now I can rest and anticipate.

This is awesome news! Can't wait till it airs. Also a US license for this and Railgun would be nice.

I really enjoyed the first season, including the second half, and the very end of the first season seemed to signify that there was more to come, so this is really nice news.

Good news. Index was a good series, but I found Railgun to be better overall. Index, as a character, was not as interesting as Misaka. In the first season I found it odd that they gave Misaka a much more interesting and deeper backstory than Index. I've not read the light novels or the manga so I don't know if Misaka will play a large role in the series.

Despite being the title character Index wasn't the actual main protagonist, Touma was.

Anyways this is awesome news. I was disappointed when nothing came out after Railgun was done though I was still expecting to hear about Index 2 sooner or later. Was hoping it would be ready by October, but with this I suppose it will be out some time next year.

Lol exactly. no one tunes in to index for index, they tune in for touma and his casual badassery as he rescues damsels in distress while working from a crappy apartment with limited food and copious homework. Index is inconsequential after the first arc.

Yep, Mikoto is a million times better Razz and the reason it wouldn't appear any time this yea is because J.C Staff (same people who produced index) is currently working on Shana season 3 for October Very Happy
