That was unexpected. Perhaps about time I get to season one.

Right. Let's hope this won't turn into a thread condemning the anime.

Kind of surprising considering that Funi holds the license for the first SW series. You'd think they'd be the ones simulcasting season 2.

I guess Strike Witches didn't sell that well for Funimation so they passed on season 2.

I would of never thought Crunchyroll would get to Simulcast SW2. Kinda thought FUNimation would since they do has SW1. Confused

Well, It's good to see more anime's coming to Crunchyroll! Very Happy

For once I don't really care that its not airing in the UK :/ I can't really be bothered with it if I'm going to have to watch the first season to understand it.

Crunchyroll streamed Season 1 before Funimation got it. I have no doubt they will consider getting season 2 as well.

With all the adverse publicity this got, I didn't preorder it thinking I would hate it. But, when I saw a teaser of it on another Funimation dvd, I thought I'd try it and was very pleasantly surprised. It was quite good (yes, the no pants thing was bizarre but it was easy to get over because of the cute plot and characters). So, having really enjoyed it I am very much hoping Funimation will definitely get Season 2.

The 2nd season isn't done by Gonzo like the first one. So funi is probably still negotiating more than likely.

If episodes start to vanish after 30 days on CR expect an announcement from Funimation in the future.

I don't think the composition of the production committee has changed though. Kadokawa Shoten is still the lead sponsor, and Gonzo remains a member.

You can think of it as a project outsourced to AIC (whereas Gonzo did it themselves last time), with the original companies still financing production and controlling the rights.

I may watch this just because it's being simulcasted in South America. No, really. We always get the short end of the stick here.

This has to be the only reason why I would get a premium membership on CR. If I just had a bit more money right now I would get the membership so I can watch the simulcast tonight.

Because Gonzo doesn't own season 2... it's AIC's now. FUNI now has to buy rights from AIC.

My guess is assuming the first season sold well enough for Funi that they are just behind on getting the rights because of the fact that it's a new studio they are in talks with and things are probably going a bit slower then it would have had it been Gonzo.

My guess if it will be like the first season in that CR will stream it and then at some point down the line Funi will get he rights and start streaming it and then a eventual DVD release. Again that's all assuming the first season sold well enough. If it didn't then Funi probably just passed on it and that's that.
