I hope we get to hear back from someone about it! I mean, even if there was a test run of sorts to see how it goes for a while, would be interesting.

But what about games that are made outside of Japan but uses the license for a franchise? For example, Ubisoft Montreal made a Naruto game for the 360. Although not made in Japan, it still uses the Naruto license. I think games like that should be included also, along with possible joint projects that makes up a franchise.

Yeah, that's a good point. It would be pretty silly not to discuss games that are based on popular anime, just because they were developed in Europe/USA.

So I guess the criteria would be 'from japan, or based on an anime/manga/VN'?

I think that would be the best way to go. The more exposure for the franchise, the better.
