Yeah, but the word "man" can also be slang for a certain female panty-parts.

But yeah, they are really scraping the bottom of the barrel coming up with new anime.

This an adaption. They didn't come up with anything.

I understand your point, though. They don't even adapt the good manga, they just go with what will sell among the Otaku the most.
This gets thrown around a lot, but there's been several award-winning manga adapted in the last year. Is there something you actually have in mind?

"Otaku will buy it" does not totally imply "it's bad".

And also: yes, some non-Otaku manga will get adapted. They're still not as much as the Otaku anime, however.

You specifically said "They don't even adapt the good manga". The question was what "good manga" is lacking an adaptation, not about them adapting a lot of otaku-oriented stuff (which is obviously true).

I didn't really have a particular manga in mind for my statement.

well i think some really good manga that dont have a anime is psyren and cage of eden but psyren was axed so thats why it doesnt have one. Crying or Very sad but yeah i say we get our fair share of anime being adapted of good manga and anime being adapted from moe manga besides not all the moe stuff are bad.

Dammit, now you got me disappointed that isn't a otokonoko manga.

Since the studio that did Yuruyuri is producing this one, hopefully they'll be able to keep more of Yasu's character designs in this one (say unlike JC Staff and Toradora - which I have no problems with).

At this point, I seriously facepalmed.

I'm pretty sure I'll give this a shot, only to check if there is actual information about manga editing in the show. Other than that, I have zero interest.

As some would say, this is a Type B otaku show, so I guess you either have to go in with your "ignore plot and story" turned on or just pass on it. I doubt it will have anything interesting beyond cute girls doing cute things. At least it's not some mindless fanservice panderfest where the plot is driven by panty shots, as far as I can tell.

With that title, it SHOULD be a genderbender. Kinda like Wandering Son meets Comic Party. I'd watch that.

Thought this has to do with Manbearpig! Laughing

Yeah, the title works a lot better in Japanese than it does in English.

They probably have to change the title if it gets into English markets. Or they may think what people thought of Ranma 1/2. Laughing

I just wish it was about experienced manga editors, I actually like yonkoma adapted stuff if it's funny (personally I think Azumanga Daioh, and Lucky Star are both riots) but... I think it could have more potential with experienced characters because then you'd get more 'industry insider' humor opportunities which can be really funny. I'm might give it a go if it available for legal stream when it comes out, as I find the idea of this type of show being framed around and adult cast rather than a high-school one curious enough to try.
