I have to state: I did not slam this novel completely. It could be epic and amazing. It could also suck. It's just that the plot summary is very...played-out:
Guy with super-power (and a SPESHUL super-power) meets girl who just isn't understood because she has a SUPAA-SPESHUL power. Guy saves girl. Stuff happens.
That isn't a very engaging summary. But that's really my point. Any show/novel/whatever can seem bad with a bad summary. I guess I'll reserve my judgement of the actual book until someone translates it.

You can reduce basically anything to its base tropes and make it sounds stupid, you doing so here is not particularly impressive.
Maybe its great, maybe its terrible. Who knows? You certainly don't, but by god you want to express your opinion on it anyway.
