You're the type of anime fan who'd complain that the sex scenes in a hentai get in the way of the plot.

Well, if you're going to shoehorn porn and a plot together, you might as well make them both fit, even if you've got to combine the "runaway from a bomb" bit with sex - after all, you only need one person to do the running...

Well, there are people who love "trainwrecks" we call some Hollywood shows, but we forgive them anyways. Laughing

Oh yes. That list is like a grocery list of everything I love in anime. Yay for feminine, cutesy, SF utopias of world government and Ganbarimasu!'ing. I am looking forward to this immensely.

Am I the only one that found these two clues in apparent conflict?:

The heroine's family live an impoverished life in various ways

It is a peaceful world where science has solved all problems

Unless her family is doing something deliberately wrong, I would think living in any way impoverished would be a problem.

I think any SF that's frank about current trends would have at least some seperation between the "haves" and "have-nots"...maybe the protagonist is one of the people who live in the shadow of the floating island utopia. The design of the poster (with the second black-haired girl) could be working in this direction.

Another brilliant show Hiroyuki Yoshino has written for: Sound of the Sky. That's what I know him for, at least, as it's my favorite anime. And also Qwaser of Stigmata, which I also love, though many more won't (R.I.P. it's licensing with Tokyopop).

It seems like the crew that worked on Strike Witches are aspiring to create more "original" anime.
My reasoning? Earlier this month the military historian for SW announced Girls und Panzer.

Anytime a new original show can be made I'll support it. Anything to get out of the glut of adaptions.

This anime looks very promising and interesting. I have watched Strike Witches and I am looking forward to this one and Girls und Panzer.

I wonder what he meant by that. I am all up for some girl's "friendship"! Very Happy

Interesting. Time will tell to see if this will be a show with promise that squandered it with gratuitous fanservice like Strike Witches or if it will aspire to be more.

I'm cynically betting on the latter.

now stay with me on this chagen...what if they did show like this however all characters are shota traps?

I'd watch the hell out of it :p

Actually, someone should totally do that...with the amount of Fujoshi/Fudanshi-targeted works coming out....

It would be nice if this were a delicious hentai.
