There is a hint of a back story in the closing credits. BTW Faye is from Singapore so a caucasian will just not do. The article says Watanabe will just be looking at the first script and " We'll discuss directors with him.". If Watanabe don't take this golden opportunity at directing in Hollywood he will be blowing a chance in a lifetime to strut his stuff with the rest of the Hollywood directors.
