First of all, I heard that Code Geass and Moribito were doing about the same with ratings. So ratings might not even be a factor, I want to ask [as] about this since they haven't announced much.
Didn't do that well in Japan? They made it? I gotta see it, if it's correct what you stated. Last edited by ryuzaki11 on Fri Jan 30, 2009 1:42 am; edited 1 time in total |

Moribito's Japanese DVD sales were rather poor. Someone posted Oricon data a while back: animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=522866#522866 |

Oh oops that's not what I meant with my question but it's irrelevant now.
NOOO...DVD sales bad? I hope this won't hinder a sequel's development. I hope the shows ratings there were good, PEOPLE, go buy DVD's the future of the show is in our money now. ??? |

Yeah, I wrote that part of the article.
Nope, it is full on children's literature, aimed at elementary school students. Yami no Moribito takes place largely in dark caves with no light, and would be hard to animate. |

YES! Go watch it. I want Tanda and Balsa to get together? How come that is almost always overlooked...that romance thing. |

Because it's an extremely minor subplot? |

I will, once the entire series has been released to DVD in the U.S. (I only plan on watching the English Dub) |

Oh I see. Well I love both versions whether dubbed or subbed. I heard the release of the DVD's had nothing to do much with the [as] thing so that's good...
I wanna read the books though. P.S.: I made a forum site (I can't make a website lol.) dedicated to this show but it's still under construction and I need management help. So yea, coming soon... |

I see you're using a definition of fantasy that excludes things like shinigami and geasses. edit: There are a lot of sub-genres of fantasy. Were you thinking particularly of invented-world medieval fantasy? Last edited by DavidShallcross on Thu Jan 29, 2009 1:21 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Of course there is! And just like in the anime, it's an offhanded remark while fleshing out the characters. |

Well that's great, I'll have to read all the books to find out if they get together then, well at least they're like best friends. PS: http://moribito.forumotion.com is the dedicated forum/archive for the show. I need members and some help. |
