And, while we're on the subject of spelling.... shouldn't Kouji TSUJIGAYA be Kouji TSUJIYA?

I've double-checked the kanji on the websites for both of his credited jobs as sound director (YamiBou and Divergence Eve), and both agree that his name is: 辻谷 耕史. Now, that family name reads as "Tsujiya" to me, and I can't even come up with a kanji version of "Tsujigaya".

Both romaji are wrong, but the kanji is correct. He is no other than seiyuu Ko(u)ji Tsujitani. According to his official site, he began his sound director career on 2001; his debut is no other than Divergence Eve, which was aired on 2003. Googling his kanji name would show up the romaji pretty easily (his official site lists first and his profile page at Sigma Seven is the second).

No source. Only they are both editors who appear to work for Jay Film. Or, do you mean as to which is correct? If that's the case, I don't know. I'd go with the one with more, though.

No, I was just wondering.

Rika WAKUSAWA
Rika WAKIZAWA (typo)

Rihoko YOSHIDA
Rihoko TAMEGAI (alias?)

This one's confusing me quite a bit. Pioneer's DVD translation and the credits on Hitoshi Doi's seiyuu database both give Queen Badiane's (in Sailor Moon SuperS: The Movie) seiyuu as "Rihoko Tamegai". Every Japanese site with credits that I've checked out (including the two databases I frequently check) list her under 吉田理保子 (Rihoko Yoshida), with no mention at all of "Tamegai". It doesn't look to me like it could be a misreading, and I can't find the kanji of "Rihoko Tamegai" (the R1 SuperS Movie DVD doesn't have untranslated credits). I've found this explanation on Ian Andreas Miller's Sailor Moon site: Rihoko Yoshida (吉田理保子 Yoshida Rihoko) provided the voice for Badiane in the Bishojo Senshi Sera Mun SuperS movie. Ms. Yoshida is often referred to as Rihoko Tamegai. ...which just ended up confusing me more (since Tamegai is listed for only Badiane, and Yoshida is listed for dozens of roles Rolling Eyes) It definitely seems like these two are most likely one in the same, but I was hoping I'd be able to find Rihoko Tamegai's kanji to make further confirmation (maybe just a one-time alias that was abandoned?)

(Sigh) Are you sure you can read kanji very well?

Yuka IGUCHI (井口 裕香; いぐち ゆか)
Date of Birth: 1988-07-11

Yuka INOKUCHI (猪口 有佳; いのくち ゆか)
Date of Birth: 1978-06-05

How come they are the same person?! You reported them because "Iguchi" and "Inokuchi" can form the same kanji combination (which is true) but didn't even bother Googling them first, did you?

A tale of two Takahashis
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the time of the two Takahashis that terrorized Tokyo!"

(Got my alliterative mojo working)

In the Encyclopedia, there is a lookup for Akira TAKAHASHI (#7595), with the name 高橋 晃.
However, by default, the credits for "Director" and "Art Director" for the anime-related puppet show Super Space Machine X Bomber are attributed to this person, because the Director/Art Director of that show happens to have a name that transliterates to the same romaji.

However, the Takahashi Akira who was responsible for Ekkusu Bonbaa was 高橋 章, not 高橋 晃. It's an old story - "Akira" is nasty customer, because so many kanji come out of the romaji mill with this transliteration...

Anyway, we need to separate the two somehow. That is, create Akira TAKAHASHI #1 (高橋 晃) and Akira TAKAHASHI #2 (高橋 章), or whatever the correct approach is.

Junichi SATO
Junichi SATA (misspelling)

Mari MARUTA
Tamari MARU (incorrect)

Nobuto SAKAMOTO
Nobuhito SAKAMOTO

They're obviously the same person, but have no idea which one is correct. My R1 Angelic Layer DVD's say "Nobuto" and that's where the kanji has been entered in, but otherwise, these have even amount of credits. Can't seem to find any Japanese sites that help me on the reading of his given name. Anyone here know?

Puffy: #19978

PuffyAmiYumi: #29462

Either is correct. Puffy is their Japanese name and PuffyAmiYumi is their American name.

Go ahead and delete Ajiado as it is the company Asia-Do

Also, Kusanagi (person) is really a company.

I really hate it when companies translate company names and then have them look like staff names. It always gets me. Mad

Koji MATSUYAMA
Kouji MATSUYAMA

Masaru OHTA
Masaru OTA (has more, plus kanji)

Hajime IIJIMA (correct)
Iijima HAJIME

M-Rie
M.RIE

Both seem to be valid although when I searched around it looked like M RIE was the most common.

I thought it was weird when I looked up some roles for Nanba but they were under Namba. Razz

I believe this this is simply just supposed to be him but with the family and given names switched.

Gah... I need to stop looking at the encyclopedia at odd times then...

What about Yuriko Senba (5645)

and

Yuriko Chiba (9)?

Same kanji, same works (SAK), same type of job, ...

Please don't yell at me.
