"This the first time that Toriyama has done something similar for a release by a musical artist."
This is a weird sentence . Also, Ayumi as Goku is a weird concept but I can dig it, I guess. |

Aya Hirano as Bulma?
CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-LA!! Still, that drawing does take some getting used to.... I just saw some 2D vs. 3d comparisons on Sankaku Complex...interesting how people see some things... |

Well, I don't really like that image Toriyama drew. But it is still better then any portrait I could do.
Also, maybe I'm one of the four, but I actually think this movie will be fun. And not in the "It's so bad, It's good" way. It is actually nice to have another person's take on DragonBall other then Toriyama, American comic books have countless revamps and relaunchs, so why can't DragonBall? |

The actor/seiyuu for Gohan is switched. I'm pretty sure the first name is the physical actor, not the dub actor.
How funny though, Kappei Yamaguchi as Goku and Aya Hirano as Bulma. I kinda wish I was in Japan to watch the dub now! And I think that Ayumi drawing is rather accurate! |

If there's a Japanese dub for DB, how come the FOX Japan site only has the English trailer with Japanese subs? Sounds like one of those last-minute rush jobs to me-much like the movie in general. Still not gonna save this sucker any more than L'Arc did for Spirits Within. But at least the haters on the Japan side can get drunk to this bastardization without having to read the subs.

Well, what am I supposed to say to it? What is anyone suppossed to say? He drew a picture to be used for art on a CD. It's a nice picture, but strikes me as the epitome of useless information. Besides, if that's a troll, it's a staggeringly incompetant one. Who's going to get offended and start yelling and screaming over a disinterested remark about a fluff news posting? |

Japanese tv spot with Godzilla '98, er Shenron, I stole from IMDB and a Japanese talk show discussion on it.

I actually think the artwork looks nice, and I'm not excited for the film at all.

off topic but, who is this 70 year old guy playing gohan? Lolz.
This movie is going to be one of the worst things that I've ever seen but if I'm in the mood for a sadistic laughfest then maybe I'll give it a watch. This does somewhat resemble Ayumi, not a bad cover. |

While i am not a Dragon Ball fan i did enjoy the music and all star cast it had. Yet i don't mind another take on the franchise with different seiyuu. And IMO, this seiyuu cast is better in overall than the original, except for Bulma not being voiced by Hiromi Tsuru. Well i honestly had no intention of watching this movie but with the JP dub cast, i think i will |

That'll be san, sensei, or sama if you insist on using honorifics. The man isn't a boy anymore. In any case, yes it is an unattractive, but a rather accurate take on Hamasaki in a Toriyama-fied universe. I'd say the drawing's decent but Hamasaki looks more like a male bishonen masochist than a J-pop idol. |
