Oh come on, Zeta had an aura around it which strongly resembles the (admittedly later) one seen surrounding the Super Saiyans at times (not the traditional flame version, the rare shimmering one). Either way, a Real Robot show isn't supposed depict a pilot gathering the souls of his fallen comrades and channel them into his Mecha in order to give off a magical aura that suddenly makes the unit faster, invincible, and with a significantly bigger sword. The ZZ Gundam managed to fly without the aid of thrusters as well as gain the invincibility of its predecessor. And do I dare mention the Nu Gundam and what it allowed Amuro to do in Char's Counterattack?
.

Yeah, if I squint real hard I can sorta see what you mean with the aura, but I don't really think any of that is partcuarly odd for the real robot genre. I don't like newtype abllities (I think there mainly just a deux ex machina to wrap things up, CCA being the best example.)

Unfortunately, its not really out of place in the real robot genre. Most of these shows tend to get progressively crazier towards the end. There are two definitive real robot shows, and in one most of the character can speak with the dead and in the other a song is sung to end wars. I'm not saying I like that this is the norm, but its what sells.

Well, G Gundam was a mix of Super and Real Robot archetypes, and Gundams going "Super Saiyan" Wink

Ha!
I think not. The Post Office is considered a Federal building. You would probably be tassed, arrested, fined, and then forced to take some loony psycho-babble class. If your lucky!

No but seriously the Postal Service is actually one of the better examples of well run government institutions.

Albeit, technically, the USPS is an independent agency, just like the Federal Reserve that manages the purse strings for the US government. Wink

Burn her! Unless she doesn't float like a log.... Laughing

Don't you mean if she weighs less than a duck?

Fine! She weighs as a duck and thus floats like wood and therefore burns like a witch. Laughing

Interesting strip as always. Very simple and to the point. It also reminds me why I do not watch action shonen shows very often; not that these kind of lines are bad -- it's just not my thing.

I do admit, it is kind of funny to see Nina consumed with burning manly passion. While not my favorite strip, it is probably one of the most rememberable ones I have seen to date.

Diamonds and coal my friend...

Diamonds and coal. Laughing

literally

Also, you shouldn't take too much stock in that independent jargon. Without getting into it, there are certain truths that are undeniable when talking about the interrelationship between the two.

It's more because I tend to not spell check what I write.

So either you're supremely confident in your orthographic skills, without actual justification -- or you just basically don't care.

Either way, you're not exactly covering yourself in glory, champ.
