There were a few people on other boards trashing Yatterman, because of the trailers, but mostly because it beat a product of a faceless studio machine they so expected to sweep Japan, just because it carried a label with one of their titles on it. Too bad they didn't seem to realize that Miike came up with an adaptation which was actually closer to the source material than FOX. Even ANN liked it more than DB:E, and considering its lowbrow nature, that's saying something. The best part, though, is that Miike was probably able to shoot Yatterman for a fraction of DB:E's budget, and still get better FX out of it than DB:E. I can't believe DB:E actually went down a notch, though. This is after the studio's "market blitz". Maybe they should've gotten a bonus anime in front of it like they did with Chun Li.
Edit: Anyway, my favorite IMDB comment right now:

Fox will look up and beg 'see it' and moviegoers will whisper 'No'
And fans will have to wait probable until 2015-2020 for a reboot. |

Well, with all the hate I've been seeing about DBE, I'm not surprised in the least.
