That's why. 
When they start turning up at people's rock festivals, or in the metal aisle at HMV (Alongside the All American Rejects. Gotta love HMV's sorting procedures  ), whilst also being blared from 'mainstream' radio stations 24/7, people start getting annoyed to an unreasonable degree. Then there's their association with the emo subculture, which is the current dead horse which people like to beat on.
Plenty of reasons, all of them weak.
Personally, I was pretty excited to see them in 2005, but it ended up being the first gig I ever walked out of. Was not impressed - based on that experience, I can't say I'm pleased about this news. |
