Funimation is also start streaming the Sabaody Archipelago Saga story arc, starting with episode #391, with English dubbing and English subtitles on Thursday.

LOL, nice typo in the news article. New eps will be streamed subtitled only, as stated in the press release.

Whoop Whoop!

But i don't understand dubbing that far....what about the people who haven't seen it?

Also hooray for keeping in the themes. I thought they wouldn't have them.

I do have one problem- on the site www.onepieceofficial.com they call each pirate crew a Gangs. Aren't they crews? Or is there a reason they choose that?

Obviously the person who wrote that apparently made a typo or the person who wrote that was told to write like that. I've read over 541 chapters of One Piece, they are crews and not gangs. Obviously because they are pirates.

Sigh. Geoblocked again.

I know this is likely due to them not planning on this when they got the rights, unlike more recent additions to their video site. But it's still kinda galling to be able to watch the shows like the new FMA on there, and then still get geoblocked from watching this. Feels like 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

Even faster One Piece releases? This is excellent news! Too bad only the American crowd gets first dibs, but I always say that an official translation with an HDTV raw is the best way to go, so good for us all.

*round of applause for FUNi*

Good job, guys. Keep it up. All that's left is that we actually get the One Piece series on Blu-ray, along with the movies.

So, Episodes 1 and onward is going to be streamed in dubbed? Freaking sweet!

I haven't heard the Funi dub yet for One Piece, and haven't watched any of it since about midway through the Alabasta arc (which I stopped watching it since my box kept messing up the recording times and didn't want to watch and get confused once I finally got on track). But I am very interested in watching it with the new dub, and especially before I see about buying the boxsets (and the movie, although I'll probably buy that anyway because Princess Vivi is my favorite character so far).

Sweet, episode 391 is already up on Funi's website. The video is good quality and the subs are fine though I think it's slightly out of sync, but whatever. Funi has definitely done a good job and I hope to see more.

Oh the whining and complaining has already begun on other message boards. I particularly enjoyed this gem

"Will they stream in HD with excellent bitrate, use karaoke with the openings, fancy and accurate subtitling while leaving certain words untranslated like nakama, allow for DRM-free downloads via mp4, mkv, etc.?"

so it's a ginormous issue that Funi can't keep up with fansubs but now you're getting the anime within an hour of release and more excuses to not support the industry pop up. People will find any excuse to justify stealing.

Viz mentions it in their press release on the Shonen Jump website.

Although the website seems to be acting up for some reason.
