I'll give you the other two, but I never understood the outcry over changing "Loguetown" to "Rougetown". It's clear that the former is just bad Engrish.

The way I understand it, "Logue" in Loguetown is meant to reference the logues in Prologue and Epilogue, as in the place where Gold Roger was born and where he was executed. A little hammy, but hey, that's Oda for you.

Ah, well that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up.

Does anyone know for sure if Viz is releasing the other volumes at a faster rate now? I know it makes sense but Viz has only said they are running the current chapters this fall. Also does anyone know if they are still keeping it One Piece and not adding a subtitle?

Screw One Piece. Speed up Hikaru no go already. Hype for that series died out like six years ago.

Every 4 months. They've been releasing the graphic novels every 4 months.

Lol... is it 4 months? I believe it used to be every 5-6 months, since printing only 2 chapters a month in the magazine, it would take them that long to have enough for a full volume, since some of the later ones have 10-12 chapters in them. But if they've started printing more chapters per month, then yeah, the gn releases would be more frequent, but as I kinda pointed out, I don't buy it so I wouldn't know, but thanks for pointing that out. Smile

What worries me though is Viz might changed the name though like how they gave Yu-Gi-Oh three different names, but they didn't change Naruto to Naruto Shippuden so Im not too worried.

They didn't change the name of any Yu-Gi-Oh series. Those were all separate series, Yu-Gi-Oh, GX and 5Ds, so they had different names. And they didn't change the name of Naruto because the manga didn't change names, the anime changed the name since it had been in filler for over 80 episodes and needed to make it obvious they were jumping to Part 2 of the manga series. And anyone who followed it would get why it's called "shippuuden".

I jsut checked the schedule and I found out that VIZ has the next 6v months lined up... and between now and January of next year (not counting next week's release), I found out that there's only one book scheduled to come out... one book... in 6 Months. (holding up thumb and index finger close together). I am this close to finding a decent One Piece forum and starting a One Piece fan movemnt to get Viz to realase the books at a faster pace. Trust me... if they don't speed up the relase or even skip books to get where they will be in Shonen Jump they will know they angered the wrong fan.

They won't skip them. It's no Naruto or Death Note, but releasing those volumes will make them money, so why wouldn't they?

Because, as they have proven in the past, the people at Viz are idiots. Also, I take exception at you comparing, unfavorably at that, One Piece to Naruto and Death Note. While they are both good manga, One Piece exceeds them both in awesomeness.

I meant sales-wise.
The newest issue of SJ says starting January, they will be releasing 5 volumes a month for 6 months, totaling 30 volumes.

JAN: 24-28
FEB: 29-33
MAR: 34-38
APR: 39-43
JUN: 49-53
