4kids is still alive?

Oh boy, we're doomed. The Mayans were right.

Are they going to leave in the part where Sonic very plainly says "Shit!" in English?

No?

...Never mind.

Will it still be edited beyond all recognition? Confused

EDIT: Ah, the original Japanese music is still intact! That's a good sign...

I just want them to put out an Ultimate Muscle DVD collection, because that's their only dub which is better than the sub.

Hmm...That's something good!

...But reviving SonicX...? I mean I've watched it and liked it but there are others that 4kids have licensed that deserve the treatment here Anime hyper

People don't understand that there are different standards in American than Japan. Shows like One Piece and Sonic X had to be changed and better suited for children here in American than 16 year old fanboys that "WANT IT TO BE ORIGINAL"!

Get over it, they had to change things to make it suitable.

Actually, they replaced Lugia's song in Pokemon 2000 with there own...and surprisingly, despite that it didn't really have to be replaced, they still did a really nice job on the song. I know a lot of people that like the 4Kids song better than the original....

...of course, that was 8 years ago. So 4Kids finally started doing some things right after 8 years?

Anyway, good news for the fans then. I have a feeling that part of the reason why they are reviving Sonic X has to do with the fact that it still airs on the block they moved to after December. So they can probably do better with an already established series.

I think this is tantamount to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Good luck with that, but it's not going to save the ship. Tokyo Mew Mew had scenes of bloody violence, American kids aren't suppose to see bloody violence despite the fact it's bloody everywhere on the news, if not in their neighbourhood. What? America censers its news? Well I never.

There's only a limited number of anime 4Kids can give the subtitle treatment to.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (and its spinoffs)
Sonic X
Kirby
Dinosaur King
Magical DoReMi
Ultimate Muscle (maybe)

Everything else, 4Kids has either let the rights expire or it has been taken away from them.

As to why Sonic X is the first to get subs, I think it's because various Sonic communities have been participating in a Sonic X Uncut campaign. 4Kids had been communicating with the head of the campaign via PMs through YouTube, promising subtitled Sonic X if the 4Kids YouTube channel became a success. And since the start of the campaign, 4Kids has sextupled their subscribers, so it obviously worked well.

I know, I'm scared too.

Anyway, I've got a Sonic-obssessed friend who's going to get a big kick out of this. Very Happy
