Deep Discount Code = "twitter" for 25% off

Also, kind of off topic, but has anyone had trouble with the DD sale..? I placed a fairly big order with them, and all seemed well, but they suddenly canceled my order saying my billing address is different then what my card company has for my address. It isn't.. =_= It took them a week to cancel my order.. DX I'm not sure if it matters, but I am using a debit card.. Maybe I typed in my card incorrectly, but I would think my order wouldn't even work..?

With so many orders it takes them awhile to check them all. I ordered a few things on my credit card once (on another site) and they sent me a shipping conformation and everything. A few days after that my order was canceled- something was wrong with the card. I think it takes time.

I would call DD and explain to them the situation- they may ship your order.

I have no idea what all that means. I know B&M means "brick and mortar". Does that mean this sale is only in-store.

YMMV= Your Miles My Vary so its at random stores. So yes its in store only.

TWEC= Trans World Entertainment Corp

The major stores are FYE and Suncoast. The problem is that FYE only keeps stock at each separate store. So you have to call or go to whichever ones you want to check stock at. And just because they say 'oh we don't have that promotion' doesn't mean they don't. You have to ask them to scan the item.

FYE is a hassle. You can find good deals but its a huge hassle.

Sorry I didn't explain.

Note that both the following sites carry used products! Hastings has new movies, music, and books as well.

Secondspin

25% off plus free standard and international shipping on all orders of $40 or more

Code: FSEPT25
Ends September 10

I shop with Secondspin quite often and have had great experiences. Sometimes my "used" dvds end up being brand new ones! You can also sell to them.

GoHastings

30% off Used Movies, Games, Music and Books.
20% off New Books
10% off New Movies, Games, Music

just enter code: 321321

I have never bought from GoHastings site. I have bought from them via Amazon once or twice. They weren't bad. Cheato on DVDtalk gave his two cents and i'll add it here since I think its important to note.

Quote:
Shipping emails always show the original list price on the site, but the discount will be in effect for the charge to your card.
You will get charged the correct price for everything, probably all at once, not a bunch of separate charges.
Temporary charges are just that--they are from the original authorization and will drop off, and then be replaced by the real charges, so if something's been canceled, don't worry.

If you're not happy with the quality (scratched disc or whatever), contact them and arrange for a return, and they will give you a full refund including shipping charges, and pay shipping to get the item back. They're pretty friendly.

I've ordered about 100 things from them in the last month or so, starting with a recent B2, G1 for $1 sale (with a stackable $5-off coupon), which was then repeated a week or so after it ended, which was then replaced with the 30%-off sale a day after that one ended. I'd been following this sale at CAG, so didn't realize it hadn't been posted over here. No problems with them so far, other than some cases/inserts (and manuals for games) being missing or ruined (on the last page of one manual, someone had written "This game sucks!!! Ha-ha-ha! You're a loser for getting it!" ). But I don't care about any of that stuff--only the condition of the discs (all acceptable(*), many near mint) and whether they're the versions I ordered (so far, so good).

(*) Some of them were VERY scratched, but I polished them with toothpaste, and they played fine. A couple of the badly scratched ones played fine to begin with, and didn't need the toothpaste.

Let me know how your experiences with Hastings site is. I may place an order myself so i'll post what happens if I do.

BTW it seems that the code isn't working with Boxsets at hastings. Just a heads up.

Enjoy!
Side note: they've got some hard to fine used dvds. Some CCS discs...Ronin Warriors. I may have to drop some cash.
