Hey y'all,
Just in case anyone missed the announcement, we'll be extending the contest until the 9th, just to accommodate those who didn't have a chance to send in their photos or carve pumpkins because of power outages. Good luck! |

Submitted my very first pumpkin ^^
I'm so happy that this contest is at least open to everyone around the world, it's totally ok if I can't win anything (don't think mine stands a chance anyways) but it makes me happy that the punpkin gets to stay in the gallary :3 and I can't wait to see the other entries! |

For people that can't find pumpkins, don't forget other gourds are allowed. Heck, with the deadline being pushed back, I'm considering entering the Sailor Moon acorn squash I painted/carved just for fun. Though it's probably disqualified from winning with how rainbow-bright I got with the colors (totally used for contrast)

with this extra time it feels like i should go back and carve another. i still have two pumpkins on my counter that i did not get to carve due to weather.

Is it okay if we post our contest entries on other sites(like facebook or deviantart?) I've entered some contests before where doing so was frowned upon, but I would like to put mine up in other places as long as it isn's a problem.

Hey, sorry to bug everyone, but just a quick question for you Bamboo. Will the gallery of all the pumpkins be posted before the winners are announced? I mean, it's cool to win prizes and all, but I always look forward mostly to seeing all of the pumpkins.

well it looks like excitement is building. So maybe if we get a little discussion going it will take the edge off. Ill go first, I tried to use a lot more color gradient in my entries this year, was a lot of fun trying to use angled cuts to get the right effect, was a very different experience then just trying a 2 or 3 color design.
the subject of one of my entries rhymes with Brincess Bononoke, hahaha |
