I'm starting to get the feeling you don't want people buying the individual volumes. It's one thing to expect folks will hold-off for set/omnibus-pricing, but quite another to encourage waiting by only giving color in the later editions. Those truely interested in speed-releases won't be waiting for print, and I'm not one of them anyway, so just say the word and I'll stop buying singles.


I'm pretty sure that the color issues they're talking about didn't exist when they originally licensed the series? At their panel, they mentioned something about how the first color edition was so popular in Japan, so the Japanese publishers decided to do the rest of the series like that too. It's not something Yen is doing to spite anyone? I just really don't see what the issue is.
