Nothing to be surprise about, it was already said they'll be more at the end of the final ep of season one. Oh and lol at all the haters getting mad.

The first episode sure didn't look it. From what I remember a girl landed from the sky and knocked a guy to the ground in a rather predictable and promiscuous position. Then there was a TV commercial or something where some generic glasses villain announces there's going to be some sort of tournament. Oh yeah, that's some strong foundation to a 'decent' plot. |

Shows like Sekirei and Queen's Blade sell like crazy.
I don't know if they're actually better received than some lesser selling shows (which many people possibly watched but decided not to collect DVDs). However, the consumers have decided that these are more worth their money. The promise of uncensored T&A/service shots doesn't hurt either. |

I'd be lying if I said this series didn't irk me in a lotta ways, but I can wholeheartedly say, imho, at least, that it's head and shoulders over the "quality" presented in QB or Kanokan.
Plus, the 2nd half of the series focuses on some of my fav. characters: Homura, Kusano and Shina, so I'm very happy to see this animated. |

I'm sorry, I meant was that there gonna do an rewatching of My-HiME and after that it's possible a sequel is in the works for the winter of this or next year. But I'm totally pumped for this fall and winter coming soon. Sekirei should be good series to watch. |

I don't think "decent" means what you think it does. It simply means it's adequate and serves its purpose, which it does. Granted, Sekirei wasn't the best show of its season, but it was fun to watch, the characters were appealing (not just in looks, but personality as well) and the action was good. I'd call it on par with Ikki Tousen which has had a few sequels of its own. Emerje |

What is "adequate" to you is not "adequate" to me. The whole "Hey let's put together some random tournament so we can have chicks in skimpy clothes fighting' idea doesn't really do it for me in regards to 'adequate'. |

Is it surprising though? Almost every season some new ecchi series with good character design and a decent plot, western fans hate on it, it does well anyway. Rinse, wash, repeat |

While it sounds like a masterpiece to me. Must be the testosterone influencing my though processes. I adored Sekirei, Kanokon, and Queen's Blade. Finally shows that get down to the nitty-gritty of what we want. |

If that's what you want, there's plenty of hentai out for ya. Or porn as well. I'd much rather some sort of entertainment derived from something other than bouncing breasts, or at least one that's not completely derived from bouncing breasts (Mahoromatic is an excellent example of how a show can be completely full of fanservice but still feature an above par story with good characters) |

Yeah, I was thinking of adding the counter-arguement to the hentai in my previous post, because I knew someone would bring it up. No, no, I can watch hentai too, but this is different. Hentai tends to be much lower quality in production value, and episodes are released at very long intervals, stories tend to be weak and/or nonexistent. While not integral to these anime, a bit of story and characterization helps. The whole point here is it's like a striptease, not just flat out walking up to buck naked. I'm sorry that you too subscribe to the idea that all anime is the [Mature] Anime for Mature People, Such as My[Mature]self. Like it or not, this is the stuff that sells along with robots and moe. And no, I'm not only about these shows, many of my favorite shows are ones that completely devoid of this type of fanservice. In the end, I like TV series that focus on a lot of women having abnormally large breasts, and showing them, nipples and all. |

Well in September they gonna do an rewatching of the whole series by adding new footage to the series and they'll continue the series by sequel in next year. Yes, It's gonna be a sequel for the original Mai HiME series plus they're are showing a trailer of in Comiket on August as well. Sorry had to do this and be off topic. |
