I could actually see myself buying something like this (which would be my first purchase of Disney's characters since the first Kingdom Hearts game was released). It's neat and unusual. ^_^;

Really really Useful Engines! Horrible ditty aside, I think it's pretty clear the designer of that particular toy didn't know anything beyond the character designs - who would make James(or is that supposed to be Red Thomas? Would that make him a Soviet Machine Under Red Father?) the centerbot/engine? Come to think of it, I had a James model track set when I was younger - I think it even produced smoke, but I had a non-character engine I could be conflating it with. What's certain is that I never had any of the other engines to have him combine with, though. |

Seeing this now, I'm getting the feeling that not only could Disney announce a hand-drawn animated Mickey Mouse movie sometime in the future, but they could also announce a new TV anime with Mickey & friends. Who knows? Maybe this giant robot might play a minor part for a potential Mickey anime series.

Oh gawd, I saw that and my first initial reaction was "eww" but then I'm like oh this is cool. From horse mechanized Evas to mechanizing Disney. I don't want to think of what they will come up with next.
