It is sad to see you go. Shelf life was a must read for me. I wish you best of luck with your new projects, and come back to anime iowa Razz

I want to wish you the best on your future projects.

Either viewers were really interested in Chobits volume 4, or they were looking at my poorly drawn, visual review of Nightshift Nurses 2 that mapped out my reaction to the show.

It's the latter, but it's not just because of the drawings. It was because of the captions that you wrote below them. I still get a laugh while reading them.

Thank you, Bamboo-san. You will be missed. I always looked forward to reading Shelf Life every week, and it was one of the highlights of my week, always. I will still read it, and it will always make me think of you.

On a different note, will we still be allowed to send pictures of our shelves?

While I'm glad to see that Shelf Life will go on I will sorely miss your reviews. Your tastes seemed to be pretty similar to mine so this was an excellent way to find out about various shows, plus the shelf worthy/rental/garbage rating system was the best one I've seen.
Good luck with your other projects!

Yes, of course. That is not changing. Keep sending 'em, folks!

Also, thank you to everyone for your kind words. Leaving Shelf Life was a difficult decision to make, but I am confident that readers will like the changes in the months to come.

Disappointed to see you leave Shelf Life, but then I've never done anything for 7 years straight, so you're to be congratulated. You've left an excellent legacy here. I can easily say you've sold me on more "blind" anime buys than anyone else, by far. You should get a gold Miina+Karen watch from the R1 industry.

Hopefully you will stay around for a long time. Good-hearted and truly funny writers are few (your previews this season are priceless). And I probably would have tossed my monitor through the window already as a guy reading Chicks sometimes if you weren't there Wink.

Good luck certainly, and thanks for your efforts thus far.

Bamboo, my warm wishes of luck to you in your future endeavors as well. Anyone who ranks "Please Twins" up there as one of their favorites (since it is one of mine) gets gold stars on their homework from me. Wink

Thanks for all the memories, Bamboo! Because of YOU, I bought the BECK boxset blind and LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. For that alone, I'll be forever grateful. I wish you luck on your future projects and hope it won't be too long before we see your name in a byline again.

Thank you for all these years! Shelf Life was one of the reasons I came to ANN every week and I'll continue to do so because I also enjoy Erin's writing.

Good luck on your next challenge Very Happy

I didn't know that you were the ruiner of Christmas, and the worst person on the Earth. Perhaps you're the Anti-Christ Bamboo.

I'll miss your often sardonic reviews. I think I'd have to say that I've considered them the highlight of ANN, but if you've confidence in Erin then I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy them.

Good luck in your future endeavors. In the mean time I'll look forward to seeing what these "secret projects" might be.

Awww, this Is kinda sad. I've only been a member for a few months, but I've enjoyed the Shelf Life column a lot. Well, we still have Chicks on Anime, so that's cool. And I'll keep an eye out for your other stuff. till then, take care!
