How on Earth did Berserk win anything, too little other competition? The CG work was beyond crude, by yesterday's standards.

Couldn't agree more- not only was the animation poor, but they ruined the story and most characters. My brother fell asleep in the theater! I'm flabbergasted - must be a pretty sorry film festival.

Basically means that it was judged the third best animated film shown at the film festival. Not really all that high of praise.

For what its worth, the non-CG material was well animated. Like Megiddo said, being third is not that big of a deal.
