It'll be interesting to see how it ends.

Might as well. The girls are about to graduate and no longer just girls but young dames (which would be a turn-off to some) who could get pregnant (so it's no longer all fun 'n games playing house anymore). Let's see if the author can create the same serious themes she's shown here in her next project without needing an icky factor to draw the audience in.

Sad, one of the best and entertain manga go to an end but after all make sense. Long manga tend to be boring and redundant at some point so is a good thing i guess.
Hope the end will be good.

the creator is a woman? ...can I... feel less creepy having watched the first season of the anime?

well it's really up to you and your set of morals. I will also add that some actual manga/ova's is based on things she experienced in her own life growing up. Hell if this was light novel or book would the creepiness factor still be there??

Well, many manga targeting males, including hentai, are also written by women. Though I'd say KnJ is not really a male exclusive demographic

I never read it, but I really wonder why this of all series became infamous.

Probably because of its unique qualities. I think, had this been the standard lolicon stuff, it would have been easily dismissed ages ago. But unlike that generic stuff, this isn't just some manga solely focused on young girl who wants to jump her male teacher's bones and the adult male guardian that equally wants to get intimate with her, but delves into their background as well.

No, I'm pretty sure the infamity is purely because it was the most high profile "lolicon" title, due to the impetus of the manga being cancelled in the US and TV stations dropping the TV anime etc.

Let me guess Zach, it was the band-aid reveal episode that clinched it.

Well in all fairness ... nope I can't even defend that one. On a different note at least aoki got kicked in the balls three-four times through the tv series/ova's for sh** and giggles

Believe it or not, the animation studio actually HELD BACK in that scene. The same scene in the manga was considerably worse.

No idea what you're talking about, fully intend to keep it that way.

Hah.

I'm only a bit through the manga, and it really has seemed to be mindless stimulation. The only serious part was the reveal of Rin and her family's past. Am I in for more good storytelling, or should I just quit while I'm ahead?

It never goes as far as you'd think it might go and it does flesh out the side adult characters a bit later in the series. What gets me most about this manga is how she tries hard to bring up social questions and there's heart but then there's that panty/crotch/exploitive shot to bring it right back down to dirt level.
