One thing that Bandai might do with a US release of S2 of Haruhni that would include a dub would be re-release all of the show (both seasons) and put it out on Blu Ray, san Japanese Track Confused .

1) Haruhi is an SD show.
2) Haruhi does not have an announced blu-ray release in Japan.
3) Haruhi is still popular show in Japan, despite what some nay-sayers believe and say.
Thus, there is absolutely no chance that we are getting a blu-ray release (before Japan).

I'm not very happy about the backwards trend of Bandai Blu Rays and audio tracks, though I do understand the market reasons for it :sigh:
They have done it once and only once. What trend?

I don't see many hybrid audio Blu Rays coming out from Bandai (English or Japanese track only, if we toss in the Bandai Visual stuff they took over) so I don't see hybrid audio as the norm for Bandai. Seeing Bandai's not putting out Hybrid DVD's much these days either I feel this is a trend. You might not bayoab but it really comes down to interpretation of what is going on here verse fact (if I came off stating this as a fact, I'm sorry I wasn't trying to).

Now if Haruhi doesn't have a Blu Ray release in Japan then getting one here would most certainly hinge on a English only release. Why on Earth Haruhi hasn't had a BD in Japan is a mystery to me.

Anyway, while it looks like Bandai Ent has S2 of this show I'm not expecting them to dub it (they have shown they aren't interested in going that route anymore, for the most part) and at the rate things are going for Bandai they might not even put it out in the long run if they finally announce the license and if they do it will have a mucked up DVD release like every other one of their disks released in the last five years. I'm sorry but I can't even get excited about this turn of events. Bandai has sabotaged itself into almost ceasing to exist and my life has to go on.

I really don't want to Bandai to license it either, as I'm sure the Japanese will ask a lot for it, and Bandai won't even come close to recouping that loss. Western consumers just aren't as blindly and stupidly loyal like otaku. Though, sales were a bit lower for the pure Endless Eight DVDs then the first one with Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody.

The first disc was BLR only. All of the E8 discs have been E8 alone.

I doubt they would go through the expense
if you had actually seen it
which you clearly haven't
since it doesn't have your precious English dub
You would know why

i'd still watch it even if it was the same as season 1, I'm a huge haruhi fan.

Well, you're in luck. Eight of the episodes are practically the same exact episode with slight but completely non-important differences.

I don't know why you're bringing this back up now, but the dubbing should be completed in fact - it was due to complete this week anyway.

My thoughts precisely. Dubbing this would be a complete waste of money and would cause them to lose more than gaining any profit. Who their right mind would actually bother to purchase, much less buy a series that has 8 pretty much the same episodes.

Haruhi is one of the several reasons I've lost most my respect for Bandai.

People really do love to complain, don't they? People are complaining because Bandai IS dubbing the show. But yet just as many would have complained if they hadn't. I guess you can't please anyone these days.

Anyway, I think I have a pretty good idea as to what the "other" show they are riding on is, which is a shame, because until a few months ago, it looked like we were getting a Houston dub for it....
