Watched, the first two episodes, looked like another horrible generic mecha show, made worse by Gonzo's awful CG. But I can't pass the possibility of winning something. Maybe it sucks less later on.

Based on what a good friend of mine told me about this series, this series actually becomes worse later on. And not in a way one would typically think.

Its no wonder this is a give-away though.

I like Linebarrels of Iron. I thought it was a good mecha anime. For once it was a nice change from the Mobile Gundam franchise anime.

I liked Linebarrels of Iron. It's not like your typical mecha show it's more like a super robot series that's really ecchi.

Hum. Super Robot and mecha means the same, practically. It's not super ecchi though, perhaps an ecchi scene here and there but that's it. But as much as I like the characters, I couldn't use a mousepad like that. Perhaps I'd lay it on my doorstep and write "welcome" just next to it.

Whats up with those framed thong panties in the picture of her holding up the signed mousepad? I can't quite make out what series the poster above it is from.

Good Luck on the contests everyone.

What's up with the thong panties framed in the background behind the woman holding up the Mousepad?

The poster in the frame doesn't look like an anime I'm familiar with.

Good luck on the contests everyone.

It says that Funi gave ANN seven copies and mouse pads so in total seven winners will be announced.

It appears to say "god" on them so i can only Assume it's for Shuffle. I heard that they gave away "god" panties with one of the dvds. :> Though i can't answer "what's up with it" since i have no clue, i never watched shuffle.

Those are the panties that were included with the Series Box that came with Vol. 6 of Shuffle, it's not the 1st time, ADV included panties with the Series Box of Najica.

There's a big difference between super robot and mecha. Gundam, for instance, has real robots, not super robots, and it's as mecha as they come. Super robots would be something more like Big O or Mazinger Z. So, even within the various types robot shows, there are very different robot genres. And while we tend to equate mecha with robots, the Japanese use the term for machines in general. So, for instance, the bikes in Rideback would be considered mecha. Heck, they'd be considered mecha even if they were normal bikes rather than robotic ones.

So, the super robot genre may be mecha, but there's lots of mecha beyond super robots.
