Six pages. Not exactly an ideal example... Seriously. What's there to argue about?
EDIT: Make that seven pages. And in no small part thanks to me... >.< Last edited by John Casey on Sun Jan 17, 2010 12:47 am; edited 1 time in total |

Lol, I think I will get one for my boyfriend. *we both love One Piece*
P.S. Many of the comments in this thread are funnier than those mouse pads themselves, though. P.P.S. By the way, shouone, but also shoujo, seinen and jousei (and maybe others I don't know) do are demographic terms, but they are just a generic indication about the minimum age range a product is aimed too, not the maximum one. To make a western example, Harry Potter could be called a shounen novel series, yet it's enjoyed by many, many adults. Last edited by Sariachan on Sun Jan 17, 2010 12:52 am; edited 1 time in total |

Whatever Wikipedia says, it isn't a genre. Wikipedia isn't always right, folks.
Genres are things like "drama", "comedy", "horror" and so on. Not that I'm much surprised about this confusion, though: to make another example of ignorance, many times "animation" is a term used as a genre instead of a medium, unfortunately. |

Well, in a few cases humans feel better by using something to back up their own words, in this case Wiki. Anyhow, the discussion about One Piece itself dragged out for way too long; deteriorating the thread's charm. I say, I wasn't really interesting in buying this, but seeing how people consider it childish and perhaps utterly weird, I'll have to reconsider my interests. Mayhap it's about time to get rid of me old Razer mouse pad, join this Japanese trend and get some delicious melons covering part of my desk while supporting and pleasing my horny laser mouse and hands. I'll also be extremely happy in case they decide to make a pillow out of Nami's boobies and sell it as a kit; you know, I might even get rid of my nightmares, and perhaps dreaming about Nami's abusive honey melons could be something I've been unknowingly longing for. I do want the pillow to feature another image of hers, since this one feels quite out of place; more like something out of One Piece's pornographic fan art, though it's not bad, not bad at all, actually. I'll go with this image after all. Edit: I wonder if the part with her boobies is fluffy. If yes, that'd be great. Last edited by egoist on Sun Jan 17, 2010 1:13 am; edited 10 times in total |

One problem... I have a laptop Seriously, people, is this THAT much of a blow to your morals and values? A guy actually legally married an anime character and you've compiled seven pages of astonished comments over a mouse pad. C'mon, guys.

I know what a genre is >.> also how did i know something like this would come up? Wikipedia is right 100% of the time i use it, in fact in even used some of its sources to write many a college paper this semester. I am not saying shounen is not not a demographic as well, i am saying that there is an alternative definition in which it is a genre. Backup source :here also i am so done arguing this point this has turned pointless and seems to be an exercise in futility. why must everything discussed about anime turn into some long argument over the definition of one word. I feel childish for even arguing. |

I know this is kind of out of nowhere, but anyone else thinks robin looks like a drag queen its always freaked me out, seriously. One piece only seems to skew younger than other big shonen jump properties because it's a comedy foremost, content wise it's not any less mature than say, bleach.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they make some of these where it's the oversized pec muscles pushed out on the guy characters or something. I predict...Luffy, Zoro, and Ace yeah. No Usopp though. LOL. |

I think they'd use Usopp for something a little different... |
